Yes. Translations are almost always by different publishers. You should also combine books that are the same text by different publishers in the same language.

>2 MarthaJeanne: Looks like I can't combine an original Arabic book for it's English translation. Because author page not mentioning that book? Is it because I added the book manually?

There may be an indexing delay on some occasions, but in general, you should be able to combine variants of the author name and work variants regardless of how they were entered. I've combined the Latin variants I found here: https://www.librarything.com/author/shadddbahaddnyusufib (though I did not search exhaustively for possible variants that might still need combining. I will also note in passing that VIAF is a very handy website for name variants. Search at viaf.org -- cf. https://viaf.org/viaf/search?query=local.names%20all%20%22Baha%20Al%20Din%20ibn%... -- result #2)
Just as I combined the Latin variants, you should be able to combine the Arabic variant into it as well. Instructions for doing so:
From the Arabic variant of the author page at https://www.librarything.com/author/3994702577 , go to the right-hand column and click the "Search" link under "Combine With." That will allow you to search for another author name to combine with. Search for "Bahā' ad-Dīn Yusuf ibn Rafi ibn Shaddād" and you should be able to combine "بهاء الدين بن شداد" with that page, and all of the works in all scripts should then appear under https://www.librarything.com/author/shadddbahaddnyusufib
You can then combine the works on that page, which should now all appear together.
ALTERNATE METHOD:
If you want to combine works on different author pages without combining the author pages that is also possible (and there are many situations where this is the only correct method). You will need to use the workbench feature. In lieu of writing further, instructions are here: https://wiki.librarything.com/index.php/Book_combining

I haven't done the combination in order to leave it as a demonstration, but if you'd like me to take care of it, I'm happy to do so.
6CuriousLearner
>5 davidgn: Yes, please. Looks like I can't do that. I did combine other works b4 tho.
7davidgn
>6 CuriousLearner: Got it. Note for the future: if you can't combine authors A and B by combining A into B, you can try combining B into A.

dear >davidgn, can you make it happen to this one, too: Frankreich: Paris und Provinzen, Doré Ogrizek with France: Paris and Provinces? I tried to follow your instructions -- go to the right-hand column and click the "Search" link under "Combine With." --, but I failed at finding 'combine with'. If you could help me to get rid of Paris: France and Provinces, that would make me even more happy.
9MarthaJeanne
>8 Buchmerkur: These are works, not authors. You need to put the both on your workbench. (Work page, lower right.)
10Buchmerkur
>9 MarthaJeanne: thank you so much. I think, I figured it out without causing a mess. How -- please bear with me -- can I get rid of that erroneous Paris: France and Provinces now?
11MarthaJeanne
If someone has entered it, it is in the system and can only be combined or separated, but not 'gotten rid of". If it is in your account, you can edit your copy, but a 0 copy work or edition will be left in the system.

>11 MarthaJeanne: Thank you. Mea culpa, alas. Well, I just have to be more cautious next time.
