>1 wcarter: One of my favourite examples of pure typography. That Hunt Roman setting is pretty much perfect. I love the marbled paper for the covers, although my copy features a hand-blocked Alberyo Valese paper instead:

I am intrigued by that case structure. Interesting concept. I'll have to try that one of these days.

>3 Glacierman: It's a structure I love, but rarely see. I think I have about half a dozen examples on my shelves like it

>3 Glacierman: >4 ChestnutPress: Quite a few Aralia Press editions use it. It's very simple, essentially a saddle-stitched chapbook with boards pasted over the covers. I agree, totally lovely in its simplicity.
>3 Glacierman: You could probably find Aralia's The Seven Very Liberal Arts or September 1, 1939 for under $40 if you wanted to see an example of the binding style in person.

>5 grifgon: Indeed, I reckon Old School and Aralia are probably the two main users of that binding

>3 Glacierman: the Old School Press edition of An Italian Dream, by Dickens, also uses the same case structure.

Well, I thank you all for the tips.

>5 grifgon: Found a copy of The Seven Very Liberal Arts at a VERY reasonable price at Oak Knoll. Thanks.
