If you're looking for a very informative read that also checks off your Z, I highly recommend

Women and Other Monsters by Jess Zimmerman

And if you read it this month (Feb) it can double as a J

Still looking for a book for X. So thought I would just type 'X' into the search on Kindle Unlimited. Wow, that brought out all the erotica and associated titles! Not sure why I didn't think of that before I started searching!
Did find a short biography of Malcolm X though, so that will be my read for X.

Fo anyone still looking for a 'Z', I read Zoobiquity: What Animals Can Teach Us about Health and the Science of Healing, and it was absolutely fantastic. Also compulsively readable--not at all dense--and shorter than it looks on first glance since there's a good portion of space at the end devoted to bibilography, notes, etc. Full review written up for anyone interested.

I am getting a little creative here and counting Lauren Layne's An Ex for Christmas as my X book, since "ex" and "X" are pronounced the same!
