Looking for a historical romance book. I read it around 2015 but it had been on my mom's bookshelf for awhile (since 2005 i think).

MFC: Claire (her name had something to do with sight/see the truth) is a gypsy or has some fortune telling ability(she might have visions). Pretends to a noble at the beginning.
MMC: Name had something to do with devil (there was a nickname people called that had devil or demon in it). He was a lord or noble of some kind.
Plot:
It was about MFC who is trying to kill MMC. I think she tried to seduce him and they go to his house but she fails at killing him so he locks her up in his house(to talk her out of killing him?). They got to know each other while MMC tries to seduce her out of killing him. We find out she is trying to kill him because he raped her sister(not sure it rape and killed or if the sister kills herself after but the sister died i think). Then we find out MMC had a twin brother and it was his brother who raped MFC's sister.
I think it was a stand alone novel.
The version i read had a purple spine and the cover with MFC in white blouse and blue? Skirt. I think MFC was posed sideways leaning back with one leg hooked around/on MMC hips.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
