So I remember the basic plot, but not the number of characters. It had to have been at least five, I believe.
The story starts off with a rich boy who's father is a politician. The boy (I believe is a teenager, possibly graduating high school) goes to cave dive as a means to off himself. Not long after he gets into the cave via a dangerous and off-limits entrance, there is a cave in and he finds himself trapped in the cave. He meets a few other kids down there.
As they try to escape their situation, there seems to be a monster picking them off one by one. He is the only one that escapes and he finally realizes that the people who were with him are the people he accidentally got in a car wreck with, and the manners in which they died matched how they died in the accident.
That's all I remember. If anyone knows the title, please help me out.

What year/year range did you read it?
Was it new at the time?
Is it children's/YA or adult fiction?

>2 bookel: I read it about four years ago. I don't believe that it was new at the time, and it should have been fiction for high schoolers. But no, it was not The Wrenchies.
