I’m looking for a series I read somewhere around 2003-2005 (in the USA). I don’t know if they were new or not. I believe it was a series of around 3 books or so.
It was historical fiction set in WWII. It might have been Christian. It was probably considered a romance. The story centered around three different people who were not connected with each other at all.
The first was a young lady who I believe may have been Jewish. She somehow ended up in a situation where she married an American man named Murphy. The marriage might have been to save herself from something or to get out of the country she was in. I seem to remember that the book followed Murphy a bit too. When they were married, they didn't live together or anything, but she would see him sometimes and started to fall in love. Somewhere in the series, I think she has to go on some sort of undercover mission for someone and she changes her appearance and maybe carries around a violin case.
The second was another young lady who I believe was a German. She became pregnant by a German soldier and was ashamed because she didn’t believe that the Germans were higher than other people and she didn’t want to add to the situation. At one point, she wanders outside alone hoping that a soldier will mistake her for a Jew and kill her, but there was no chance of that because she was unmistakably Aryan with her blonde hair and blue eyes.
The third was a group of children. They may have been Jews. They were on the run. The two oldest children were a boy and a girl. At some point, they are given a baby (possibly from the German woman), and they need to be able to explain why they have a baby. So the boy and girl who are nearly adults anyway, get married and claim that the child is theirs. The name they gave the baby might have been Alfonso.

Don't remember all of the details, but this might be Brock & Bodie Thoene's Zion Covenant series, starting with The Vienna Prelude. One of the main interests is a female violinist and her love interest is John Murphy. There's quite a lot more of by these authors, all tying into one another, so the other details may be in further books.

I believe this may be it. Thank you

This is definitely the Zion Covenant series from Brodie and Brock Thoene. I think some of your details may be from later books in the series, but most of or this is definitely from Vienna Prelude. This book is the reason I paid $20 (in 1998!) for a cup of coffee and a slice of cake at Hotel Sacher in Vienna. It's been several years since I last read these.
