Hi guys,
I feel like there's a constant itch in my brain because I can't for the life of me remember the name of this one historical romance book I'd read a long time ago about a hero who is physically scarred and disgifured from a childhood trauma I think. I think he also has a limp. He also wants revenge from heroine's family for some reason - I think it had something to do with wanting revenge against the heroine's brothers perhaps because of something to do with the hero's sister who was disabled I believe.
Some scenes that stand out in my memory were:
- hero kidnaps heroine and her friend?? (I'm not a 100% sure about that bit) but basically, it destroys the crush heroine initially had on the hero
- hero and heroine make a bet while on route that he'd kiss her and if she could keep herself from wanting him, then he'd let her go but heroine loses that bet because she ends up enjoying it and so does the hero even though he's supposed to stay aloof
- they make out with her on his lap during the bet
- there's a steamy bathtub scene in the dark because the heroine's braids turn the hero on
Details are hazy in my mind and that's all I remember. If anyone has any knowledge of what book I'm talking about, I'd really appreciate the name of it.

Do you remember the historical period in which the story takes place? And when did you read the book?

I'm not a hundred percent sure but I imagine it was from the Victorian era. I think I read it like 4 years ago. Sorry the details are so hazy!

Ommgggg i found the book if anyone ever comes across this page later and wants to give it a shot (or if I need to find the book again!)- my brain is finally free of the itch! It'd bug me so much at random times and now for the end of the suspense, the book's name is....
