And what are sextogesimo (16mo), duodecimo (12mo), octavo (8vo) and quarto (4to)?
For the answers to these questions and to learn the vocabulary of book collecting, you need John Carter's ABC of Book Collecting. He's long gone, but the book lives on and is currently in it's 9th edition (available from Oak Knoll and elsewhere).
Newcomers to collecting especially need this book, but even long-time collectors can benefit from it. If you don't already have it, GET IT!
