I am searching for a book set in space/another planet. The ship crashes, and everyone left has to figure out how to start their colony.
The people were raised in tubes and "taught" different professions. Where your tube was in the ship determined what you did. Like political leader vs soldiers. The MC is male and was being taught to be a psychologist.
There is an AI that is running the ship/colony. And since all of the political people and leaders died in the crash there is a power struggle between those designed to be soldiers and the others.
I'm pretty sure this is a YA novel but I am not 100% sure. I read it several years back in highschool.
