Whenever you walk on a London street
It's ever so 'portant to watch your feet.
And it's ever so jolly to call out,
"Bears! Just look how I'm walking on all of the squares!"

#13 - Okay, Arctic, I've seen that picture a zillion times, but I never noticed that awkward angle at which her neck is bent.
(Speaking of awkward, how about that sentence... LOL)

#31 - If that adorable critter is yours, no wonder you go into brainless pet-speak when you see a small furry critter!

That doggie is very very very cute. I like it. I want one....no wait, I have 5 dogs in the other room. Never mind.

Yeah, that was my first pet named Nick. He was 17 when he passed on (very old pic) a few years ago. As cheesy as it sounds, he was my only friend for a long time (up until I got into Uni.). It was hard leaving him behind in the states when I moved to Australia; but I didn't have the heart to put him in quarantine for six months. I left him with my mom, who took awesome care of him while I was gone. I was really lucky in that he actually passed away in my arms on a visit back to the US.
Buy yes, the brainless pet-speak did start with Nick ;).

I can see why he would be a special good friend. I just think it might not have been luck that he waited to say good-bye. Brainless pet-speak is a very good language to know.

I wouldn't put that past him; he was a very smart and sweet companion ;).

13 + 28 -- that's Zephyr, the guy they named the wind after, and his nymph girlfriend (but I don't remember her story)... 2 of those legs must be hers, although they do look a bit awkward...

Wow! drsol, those are fun.

Very nice, friend. You are "the bomb" (is that the right use of the phrase?) Any way, I am impressed.

#52-is that Fuji w/the lenticular cloud? Mt. Rainier gets those ever now & then. High winds aloft form those as i learned in my Climatology (basic meteorology) course in college. That one in the lower picture is down right spooky! Great pictures- where did you find them JPB? 8^)

Aren't they great? There are lots of sites on the web with pictures of them; turns out google search never shows the best, and I wish I could find the site I found yesterday. (History doesn't have it as my computer crashed).

The alien Chef Hats have landed, and they're changing into tasty treats...

This one is for all my GD friends. =)

ok, Irish, 'fess up. Where did you get the cool button, and where can we buy them in bulk to keep in a bowl on the bar? (And hand out at the various GD get-togethers!)

What book are they holding?

Mine, I was in contact with a Peace worker in China who was teaching English to Chinese students. She wanted to start a teen book group of English language books so I donated a bunch of copies and she sent me a few pictures. I thought it was quite cool. The students even sent emails to me which I enjoyed as well.
