I read a book when I was young about a Christmas tree that get cuts down and ends up becoming the tree at Rockefeller Center. The people who grew the tree love it and are sad, until they go to the city and see how much everybody else loves it too. Does this ring a bell with anyone else?

That one sounds really good, but the one I'm looking for is older than that one. I read it when I was a little girl - 25 years ago. . . .Thanks anyway.

The book you are looking for is: The Most Beautiful Tree in the World
by Leonard Weisgard. I read it recently and it's a gorgeous story.
