Yea arts and crafts! How boring life would be without them.
I've looked at the catalogs of several libraries and each of them had a large number and a range of books that would fit this topic. You might want a how-to book, a book with a storyline and directions to a related craft, a biography of an artist, a book on historic crafts, and anything else you can think of or find. The most important thing is to have fun with this one and to tell the truth about who made the results you show us!

What an interesting CAT! Believe it or not, I just checked out a book from the library about Little Kid Paper Plate Crafts to use with my granddaughter(s) this summer. (No touchstone available)

I have a few middle grade books related to art in some way. But I think I will go with The Space Between Lost and Found.

I found a used copy of Edible Crafts Kids' Cookbook if I can manage to wrestle it away from my hubby who was quite intrigued with it.

I can find a few on my tbr, but not directed at kids! I will need to look a bit harder.

I read this one early, but am counting it for July Itto, Le PĂȘcheur des vents by Anne Montange

I decided I'd try a tagmash for art, children, {my initials, which represent what's on my tbr}, and I came up with an illustrated children's book.
I might give that one a try. I know it's stretching the theme a bit, but I was having trouble finding something otherwise.
The book:
The Cats of Tanglewood Forest / Charles de Lint
I guess I also need to see if my library has it!

I found I'll give you the sun on Libby after seeing a recommendation, looking forward to reading it.

I read Harold and the Purple Crayon for this challenge.

My 5 year old granddaughter is coming over on Wednesday. After swimming we will complete a craft. In theory, this is what they are supposed to look like. I'll post and ETA on how they came out! P.S. Grandma needs to remember to find the plastic table cloth!

ETA: She is holding Goldie and Spot. I can't seem to get the pictures right side up....I'll work on that. Also, much more difficult to find non-coated paper plates than I anticipated--went 5 different places! Finally just bought a poster (one side not coated) and traced a plate circle! Evie informed me that she wants to make the purses on Sunday. Now I'm going to have to dig out my yarn and 3 hole punch.

And I thought I wasn't going to read a book in July that would fit...

When I Became Your Grandma by Susannah Shane and Britta Teckentrup
The artwork, collage-type illustrations, is so PERFECT.

I read The Official Harry Potter Baking Book as a second choice for this challenge.

I've read the biographies of 2 children's illustrators. Pocket Full of Colors is about Mary Blair, the first woman to work as an illustrator at Disney and Oh, the Places He Went by Maryann N. Weidt about Dr. Suess. I didn't know Mary Blair, and her story was very interesting. It was nice to learn Walt Disney was a fan of hers, and I learned more about Dr. Suess than I knew and had a lot of fun just rembering reading his books as a child.

I read a book by Cute Paper Crafts by James Manning but it is not listed here on LT. The subtitle is A Great DIY Paper Craft Gift for Kids That Offers Hours of Fun
It had a lot of memory match type games and the one project that looked really cool was a stained glass house. It is made from clear plastic pieces cut out from food boxes. Then you modge podge on some colored tissue paper.
