Queen of Angels notes card

Hello!

Last year I picked up a copy of Queen of Angels by Greg Bear in EP's signed first editions of science fiction. This week I am giving my library its annual dusting and noticed that Queen of Angels does not have the notes card issued by EP.

Does someone have this book who could send me a scan, jpg, or photo of the notes card?

Thanks!

Oh! and here's another one that I picked up a couple of years ago without an EP notes care. Does anyone have a copy of Heavy Time by C. J. Cherryh in EP's Signed First Editions of Science Fiction that could send me a photo / jpg / scan of the notes card?
Thanks again.

And I came across another in my collection that is missing the notes card. Does anyone have the EP Collector's Notes for Ursula K. Le Guin's A Fisherman of the Inland Sea? If you do would you please send me a scan, jpg, or photo of it?

I am going to have to start another Google Sheet with links to PDFs of these Collector's Notes cards for EP's Signed First Editions of Science Fiction the same way I did for the original Masterpieces of Science Fiction EP series: https://bit.ly/EPMoSF-CollectorsNotes

I didn't realize that most of my volumes in EP's Signed First Editions of Science Fiction series were missing the Collector's Notes cards. I don't have them for any of these volumes I have in my library:
Queen of Angels
Heavy Time
A Fisherman of the Inland Sea
Starfarers
Transition
The Gateway Trip
Red Mars
The Summer Queen
Daughter of Elysium

But I did find one in my copies of Child of Venus, Endangered Species, and Cave of Stars.

Again, if anyone can help me getting copies of those that I am missing I would be very grateful.

Unfortunately, I don't have any of those. I had forgotten that EP offered a Signed First Editions of Science Fiction series. It may have been disbanded or nearing its end when I started buying EP.

>5 treereader: I’m not sure when they discontinued the SFEoSF. The most recent novel in my collection is Child of Venus by Pamela Sargent published in 2001 (a great book by the way… her Venus Trilogy is really outstanding).

That’s, give or take, about when I started buying EP books, starting with the 100 Greatest Series.

I subscribed to about half of this series, the first half I think. As for the books Neil mentioned I don't have those on my three shelves of signed first editions of science fiction books. The note cards are small in the ones that I have.

I regret now cancelling the subscription. I recall the books just going on the shelves and my not having time to read them, so I phoned EP and asked how many were planned, and the answer was, there is no end set (at that time). They would just keep publishing them. So I did cancel. If I could time travel I would change that decision, as it was a nice series. As my kids are grown now and I have more time I am finally reading them, and may go to ebay to try and work on the collection.

>8 sdawson: There were some in that series that ended up being really excellent, Red Mars and Blue Mars for example. But I think there were a number of others that ended up just being … meh. The Gateway Trip for example was fun but not excellent like Gateway. And I have read reviews of The Last Theorem that were less kind. On the other hand Dragonsdawn was an excellent addition to The Dragon Riders of Pern series. And it’s resale price reflects that (as do Red and Blue Mars).

And of course all of Asimov’s later additions to The Foundation Trilogy. I really wish I had picked those up as they were released.

I don't think you are missing anything. According to ISFDB, Collector's Notes for this series were first introduced in 1998 with 106-127 (Robert Silverberg: The Alien Years) and COAs were started to be included in 1996 with 106-105 (Bruce Sterling: Holy Fire). The books released before that had special introductions that were part of the book, almost all of them were written by James Gunn. There are a couple of books were that introduction was on extra cards for some reason (Angry Candy, Endangered Species).

Accoring to my LT entries, I have 58 of this series, which seems about right looking at the bookcase.

Do we have a link to the full series somewhere?

ISFDB lists 273 titles: https://isfdb.org/cgi-bin/pubseries.cgi?17. Wootle's list has 274 titles but includes Howard Waldrop's The Moone World which according to the ISFDB list was never produced.

Well there we go. I guess I stopped my subscription about 20% through the run.

>10 spacepope: That’s interesting. So I guess there was simply no consistency with that long running series. I’ll stop fretting over what is not missing! :)

Thanks for researching that.
