Hi: I am a long time lurker and lifelong reader. I love these books, but was younger in their heyday and could not afford a subscription. I did collect a few from Ebay in the last few years. I have bought remainders from Edward R Hamilton for many years after poring through their newspaper when I was kid. Recently, I got an e-mail from them that featured a Franklin Library book. I went to the website and found they are selling a whole page of Franklin Library books. Most of them are Signed Limited Editions with a few other mysteries and classics. They range from $6.95 to $16.95.
I bought five and waited for them to arrive! I knew this company doesn't sell used books and knew that Franklin Library was defunct after 2000. Well, they came. Four were still shrink-wrapped and two were also in the original cardboard mailers! They are new!! It is such an unexpected Christmas gift for me. I wanted to spread the news to others that love these books and felt they could not find or afford a new copy. I hope someone here sees this before they are sold out. I guess Franklin Mint had stored them in their warehouse all of these years before selling them off to Edward R. Hamilton.
Happy holidays and good reading to you!

Congratulations on a great find! Perhaps they came from an estate sale of a collector who recently passed away.
Let collectors of signed editions take note. Most of the authors will be forgotten in a few decades and their books/signatures virtually worthless. There will be a few winners, though.

I got them from someone whose parents passed away.
