We've made a new "Add Multiple Works by Magic" feature on LibraryThing Lists and Series.
Don't forget to check your work, since the search is not perfect. On Lists, it will immediately add the ones you've checked when you click "Add Selected"; on Series, you will still go through the regular lightbox for setting additional fields for each work in the checked list.
See the discussion of the same feature from the Awards system: https://www.librarything.com/topic/353914

This has timed out on every single attempt I've made to use it either for series or awards. It can't even resolve single books.

Can you give some examples of text you put in?

Please try again. We have just increased the time out, so hopefully it will work better now.

Unfortunately I added over forty titles (there's a LOT to add to Gallimard, Folio) after giving up and I can't recall what the titles I tried were.
However, I just tried it again with three titles and it does seem to be working for me now!
To be honest, I suspect I should continue to add them individually anyway because so far on average a quarter of the titles involved I also have to do some work merging them...

It had a ten-second limit. Unless the list was super simple, that didn't cut it. It's now 30.

**Never mind! I see my issue. I didn't realize that you paste a list of works in the box. I thought you searched for titles in the box. Disregard my note below**
I love the concept of this feature, but it's also timing out for me with no results every time I attempt to use it.
Example: https://www.librarything.com/nseries/371392/Pete-the-Kitty
I've tried using Add Multiple Works by Magic by searching "Pete the Kitty" both with and without quotes, and it times out with no results after 5 seconds.

Just checking; is the 'magic' currently working? I haven't been able to add multiple works to series for a couple of weeks.

>10 humouress: Can you open a bug report and explain what's happening?

>11 knerd.knitter: Okay, will do. I was checking first to see if it was just me; maybe I'm using the lists of works the wrong way.
