"This was my first Arion Press purchase, and I felt it was very poor value."
That pretty much says it all. Arion Press published this at a price of $600 and it has the look and feel of a slightly better-than-average George Macy LEC book. Frankly, it isn't one of Graham Greene's finest literary moments, either. This was published in 2010 and it is indicative of the lesser quality, overpriced Arion Press books which have arisen since 2000 that I feel are an unfortunate result of their subscription model.
If you must have this, it will appear at auction 1 or 2 times per year and will sell at about $400 which includes the auction house 25% Buyer's Premium, i.e., a hammer price of $300 - $325 dollars.

This is the only Arion Press book that I have sold. I recently browsed at the local bookshop to which I sold it a few years ago, and it is still there.

It doesn't hit my switch, that's for sure, at any price. And I hate flat-backs for a book that size (thickness). Ugly binding to these eyes.

>3 ultrarightist: I'm also on the "read it and sold it" train with this book. I honestly don't think it's a poor publication, but just incredibly overpriced. I believe (not 100% sure) that it was originally slated to be signed by the artist, but unfortunately he was taken ill and unable to sign any of the copies. At the end of the day, apart from the letterpress, I think it could be a $60 Folio Society book.

I saw it listed in on a Facebook group for $200 and was willing to take a chance on it at that price, unfortunately someone else beat me to it. As always, thanks wcarter for the detailed pictures!
