The book does look really beautiful, as do the illustrations. I’ve been thinking of going for the Collectors edition, but hesitant based on reviews I’ve read of the book (yes, I know I could just start reading an ebook, but for me, that would take some of the pleasure away). How do you find the book itself? Do you think the text is worthy of this deluxe treatment?

That's a gorgeous edition. I would have gone for it after your seeing your post if only it wasn't a translation - it's very beautifully made.
By the way, they got the German title wrong. It's Tintenherz / Ink Heart, not Tintinherz. I had to smile at that one. I guess Tintin makes more sense for an English-speaker and that's how it ended up wrong.
