Hello, I don't want to startle anyone, but I will be (one of the) new admin for the Franklin Library Collectors.
I believe there will also be another one coming soon.
I am Shawn. I am also the admin (and founder) of the Easton Press Collectors group : https://www.librarything.com/ngroups/551/Easton-Press-Collectors
While Easton Press and Franklin Press were rivals back in the day, their goals were the same : to publish quality, full leather, affordable books, focusing on the classics, notable books for other reasons, and first editions. There is a lot of overlap between their books and their customers. I know that many folks collect books from both publishers (my shelves attest to that).
I have been with Library Thing forever, and have benefited from being a member of the Franklin Library Collectors. I want to see it continue into the future, preserving the treasures of the historical threads. I also want to encourage more book lovers to find and explore these wonderful books, ask questions, answer questions, and otherwise promote awareness of the Franklin Library books.
