Could the root of Deanna’s murder be to do with Mitchell Brightman being the father of his niece?

I didn't think so until a chapter or two later when things became more apparent.

I don’t think so either as Deanna knew nothing about her husband being the niece’s father. Mitchell isn’t the murderer either.

I think if it was a lone murder this was quite possible, but not with a double murder at the time this was revealed. Knew there was something strange going on in that family.

I didn’t see that this would be a reason for Deanna’s murder.

This family secret goes a long way in explaining the oddness of the group but I do not see Michell as a killer.
