I am still in Discworld, picking up Soul Music after finishing Wyrd Sisters for the 75ers group read.

I just left Murk in Bookshops and Bonedust and now I'm on Anima in The Memory of Babel.
3Sakerfalcon
I'm still in Sartorias-Deles with A sword named Truth.
4Niko
In pseudo-17th century France following adventures of The Cardinal's Blades in The Dragon Arcana.

I just spent more time in the Court of Teeth and Elfhame with Holly Black's The prisoner's throne.

Just finished Paradise Lost, which certainly qualifies, among other things, as fantasy (with apologies to any biblical fundamentalists among us). Like many modern readers, I find Satan, Adam, & Eve much more interesting than God in this presentation -- despite the fact that I pray regularly. The wording, phrasing, & imagery are striking and fantastic. I want to keep an eye out for something with the Dore illustrations.

I read an ER novel A Simple Tale of Ink and Bindings and enjoyed it so much I am back in "town" with the first novel A Simple Tale of Water and Weeping.

I'm back in the awakened NYC in The World We Make by Jemisin. The city, the characters, & dialogue are as wacky as before, but somehow she makes it all work. This one is more overtly political than the first, perhaps reflecting recent US history.
9Watry
Out of Alinor with Traveler's Joy and into Chalion for a reread of The Curse of Chalion. If I can get it to stick.
10vwinsloe
In Aden having fun with The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi.

Just leaving Vegas with the adult fantasy romance The Dark King. Surprisingly satisfying.

I've left Sartorias-Deles and the Sword named Truth for now, and I've travelled to the kingdom of Daxaria with The house witch and the enchanting of the hearth.

Spending some time in a sort of Renaissance-y city with Summer King, Winter Fool.
So far, it's seeming like a more straightforward fantasy & less "magical realism"-y than other Lisa Goldstein works I've read. Not a bad thing, just interesting to see her writing in a more "traditional" vein.

I just finished The Trouble with Peace, the 2nd installment of Joe Abercrombie's Age of Madness trilogy. The first half of the book dragged a bit - lots of "palace intrigue" and bickering between characters. However, the pace slowly built after the halfway point and the last fourth of the book was bonkers. ("Bonkers" is a highly sophisticated literary term!) The last chapter was a stunner, too. Abercrombie can be so infuriating with his pacing but he manages to pull everything together in the end. (One could argue that The Blade Itself was a book-length table setting for his entire universe of stories.)
On to The Wisdom of Crowds!

Helping build a successful village in an MMORPG with Cavern of Spirits.
I read the first book of this for a "LitRPG" square in bingo a few years back. I struggled to find something appealing to me for that genre, and went with this series because I finally decided that I'd have better luck with a female author and female MC. I ended up liking it enough to continue with the series, even though I won't likely branch out to other litrpg series any time soon.

I'm in East Carmine again, as I re-read Shades of grey - in preparation for the sequel (which I already have at home!)

I'm in the Old Kingdom, partly in Belisaere with Sabriel and family, keeping incursions of the dead at bay, and partly with Lirael in the Clayr Glacier, exploring with the Disreputable Dog.
19Sakerfalcon
I've left Daxaria and The house witch, now I'm visiting Myrtlewood where Accidental magic is causing problems.

>19 Sakerfalcon: I love The House Witch and Burning Witch series--just finished the latest. Accidental Magic sounds like my kind of book, too. Thanks!

I'm roaming the world of Moonbound, wandering the fantastical city of Rath Varia. It's a neat story so far, haven't read too many "science-fantasy" novels in my time, I'm enjoying myself greatly!
