Child’s non fiction picture book about where people live (homes) all over the world

I haven’t had any luck searching online for this book from my childhood I used to love.
This book was a largish picture book with realistic illustrations. It showed homes of children from all around the world. Each home/country had 2-3 pages dedicated to describe each home. The illustrations showed the interior and exterior of the homes with descriptions about daily life and the ways the families cooked, slept, etc. I think there were a few paragraphs or so for each home.
I think I remember the cover as being yellow, however I also think it might have been orange. Or, a mix of yellow and orange. The title was something to the effect of ‘Where people live-around the world’. That was the general gist of the title. I had this book in the mid 1970’s when I was a child and it disappeared sometime during my tween years. I would love to find it. I’d love to get a copy. It might have been published around the mid sixties but my feeling is that it was printed in the early 1970’s. It was hardcover. About 12”x8” or so. Maybe 40 pages long?
I’ve searched online and nothing matches.
By any chance, does anyone remember this book themselves?

>1 ImShaunie: I'm afraid I don't remember/know the book, myself, but I found a couple of books that have some things in common with your description, and I thought I'd ask if they might be your book:

The Golden Geography (This one also seems to have been published under the title My Colour Book of Geography)
A Place to Live by Jennifer Cochrane (I can't find this one in LibraryThing so I've linked to an Ebay listing where you can see the book. I was unable to find interior images, unfortunately.)

I also stumbled upon a site with a bunch of cover images of books from the 50s-80s. I looked in the yellow, orange, and geography sections and didn't see anything that I thought might be your book, but you might have better luck recognizing it if you see it!

Bump…I searched all the above suggestions and no luck. I keep thinking the cover was yellow. Hard cover. The igloo home and the home in china stand out the most in my memory. The illustrations were detailed but cartoonish/realistic if that makes any sense. I think the home in china had 3 pages. One illustration was of terraced rice growing gardens. The interior of the home in china had people eating I think. The Eskimo/innuit home had a mom sewing I believe and an oil lamp.
This book was given away sometime around 1980 without my knowledge at the time. It was a largish book (11x7)?. Hardcover. The title was something like “Where children live around the world” or “Children’s homes around the world”.
Would love to see it again and just can’t find it.

If it were a German book, I would suggest Meyers Kinder-Weltatlas
which I owned in the 80s and was the first book I thought of reading your description. Maybe look in the direction of lexica and atlas‘

Not A House is a House for Me? it has animal homes as well as people, and doesn't show all the interiors.

I had this book! Or something very similar. I will put on my thinking cap and see if I can remember any more.

>1 ImShaunie: The book that I am thinking of is Come Over to My House by Dr. Seuss. This picture book may or may not be the book you seek.
