I'm trying to remember a YA novel I read when I was in the 8th grade.
All I remember is that part of the plot was coming up with the perfect key lime pie recipe (I think the protagonist won some kind of award for it), and there may have been some kind of road trip with the protagonist and his (girl?)friend. I also remember I definitely bought the book at a Barnes and Noble, if that helps at all.
I know it's not much to go on, but the key lime pie thing is so specific hopefully someone will recognize it.
