Title, please, of adult mystery. Florida widow receives call at night; supposedl
y, it is her grandson. The caller claims he's been arrested and needs money. She sends it to him electronically. He calls her a second time that night.
She wakes up the next day to discover all of her accounts have been cleaned out.
She has two "grown" children and at least one grandchild. Made her fortune with her husband off of an invention - a knife that toasts bread as it cuts it. She pays for her combative father's stay in an assisted living facility.
The FBI informs her of Eastern European-based criminals who defraud the elderly, but do not provide much help/hope. She heads out to Eastern Europe where she successfully recovers her money, has a relationship with a man half her age, and befriends the young man who stole her money.
Written in the 2020s (I think) and may be first book in a planned series.
Thank you for any help you can provide. This is my first post; I hope I've done it correctly.

Well, THIS is embarassing. Love the Chet books. Saw Mr. Quinn had a "new" book about an older woman, and put a hold on it. (Truly. Like yesterday.) All I needed to know was that Quinn wrote it, and I reserved it. I didn't read any further into the description. (In my defense, I thought it hadn't been published yet.)
Something about it reminded me of this "other" book I had read, and I posted here for the first time to see if anyone knew about the "other" book.
When I saw your answer, my immediate response was to write, "Thanks, but that's not it." Something held me back, and I went to the Mrs. P book description.
How embarrassing. My first post and I have to do the walk of shame.
Thank-you for setting me straight.
