Hello,
Where can I find the copyright year for a book listing? The site has a lot of useful information, but listings are only somewhat helpful without the copyright year. It's a standard piece of information on Amazon, GoodReads, AbeBooks, etc. Any tips on where to find it on LibraryThing would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
David

That data comes in from the source chosen. It’s not always present, and not always correct. Members can add it to the Common Knowledge for the work.
But many works have multiple copyright dates.

>2 2wonderY: CK does not have a field for a copyright date but for a first publication date though. Which may be the same for the majority of books but not for all.

And translations will have their own copyright date, which is different from the copyright of the original. Academic books often have multiple copyrights listed depending on how they are updated and reprinted. There really can't be a copyright date at work level.
I make sure that I add copyright information to the publication field when I enter each book.
