Leeds International Piano Competition 2024 - Semi-finals.
Andrew McGregor with pianist Lucy Parham introduce performances from the semi-final stage of one of the most prestigious of all music competitions - The Leeds - held this week at the Great Hall, Leeds University. Attracting some of finest young pianists from across the globe the competition has now whittled the competitors down to just 10, each of whom is hoping to make it through to the final five for the concerto finals which culminate tomorrow evening. In the semi-final stage each pianist will present a varied programme of music which includes classic works from the pianist's repertory, contemporary music, plus chamber music for which they join forces with members of the Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective.

Leeds International Piano Competition 2024 - Finals.
Andrew McGregor and Lucy Parham introduce the concerto finals of the Leeds International Piano competition from St George's Hall, Bradford, as all five pianists play with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra under conductor Domingo Hindoyan. As well as complete performances of each of the concertos, Andrew and Lucy also look back on the journey that brought each pianist to this stage in the competition and they allow listeners to hear the results and prize ceremony live from Bradford.
