On the Your Books page, can there be some separation between the search library thing and search your library boxes? I keep typing in the wrong box. (It might just be me, though.) Search your library can stay on the same line, just slide over to the left next to the settings button. Thank you for this web site. Fred.

I agree. I have confused these two search bars with one another many times.

If you accidentally type a Search Your Library query into Search LibraryThing you can just click All Collections at the top of the search options to get the results for your library.
It's not so easy to go the other way though.

Please do not change something so fundamental that we have been using for years and years. If it moves I'll never find it again.

For small screens it makes sense to have the 'search your library' box on the left. Where it is on the right means you have to right-scroll to access it. It could be kept on the right of all the rest in that row, but right justifying that box it means it disappears off narrow screens.

I want to say Tim has opened discussion on moving that box before, but nothing ever came of it. I can't remember when or what thread it was in though.

>3 Aquila: I’d also like some separation between the search boxes, since I’ve used the wrong one on more than one occasion. But I’d never noticed the “Your Books > All Collections” link in the left sidebar—this will save me some time!

>4 MarthaJeanne: I agree. I prefer it where it is.

>3 Aquila: Neat trick. Had not noticed that before.
