I want to look at a book some else has

When I search a topic in LibraryThing, it tells me who has books with those tags. How can I know if that is a place, such as a library, where I can see the book? Without opening and reading each cataloger. I am asking because I have have a museum research library that people can visit to use. Thank you,

You can't. This site isn't all a lending library for people to check out. It's a cataloging site.
To see books available to check out, you want to check the user's Tinycat site, if they have one.

>1 VFMLibrary: The vast vast majority of the accounts on LibraryThing are individuals. Without opening the profile of each account that has cataloged that book, you would have to assume that NONE of them are open to the public.

If your library is open to the public, that is wonderful! You could write on your profile that your library is open to the public and how to contact you. But there is no way for anyone to know that information about you without clicking to view your profile.

Thank you, I realize it is not for lending books, and the museum does not. I was looking for an easy way people to know they can come here. If not, that is the way it is.

Actually, that information is usually available on their LT profile, but you have to go to each profile individually.

Often you can guess by the user name. But just because the book might be available to look at there doesn't make it easy. This is an international site, and travel from Texas could be time- and money consuming,
