Found: Basically just YA Handmaid's Tale

Hi! I read this book maybe a decade ago on a Kindle that later got destroyed and the book just comes back to haunt me sometimes. It was very typical YA- teenage girls in a boarding school, dystopian patriarchy, the most important decision of your life is inexplicably made at age 16. I'm fairly certain the premise was the girls being ranked and the rankings then deciding if they would become wives, concubines or teachers at the school (hence the subject. It definitely "borrowed" a lot). I think there was a bad ending- protagonist attempted rebellion but then got locked in a room (???) and ended up becoming a teacher. No escaping the system here. I would not call it a well written book but it changed something in my 10 year old brain chemistry and I really want to read it again to see if it holds up. Any help would be appreciated!
