get error code 500 suddenly
suggestion from search the code:

Clear your cache and cookies. - done
Use a different browser.- done
Open in Incognito mode.- done
Update your operating system.n/a
Turn off your antivirus software.n/a
Restart your device. done
Check the web address. (https://www.librarything.com/export.php?export_type=xls)
Try another computer. done
Check your internet connection. done
Contact the website owner. done (that's librarything.com)
The only thing mentioned that I did not do was check the htmaccess. - that is way outa my paygrade.

other things i tried:
1. Firefox: I can't download the books in Excel or Tab-delimited - get a blank screen on either after I click the download button. JSON and MARC are out of my wheelhouse.

2. Chrome - download w excel; when I click download:
This page isn’t working

www.librarything.com is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500

Haven't tried the tab-delimited.

3. Safari: Excel: blank screen after download. Tab-delimited: same.

I'm not sure what else to try...

I have tried this on both Windows & Mac machines on the Resident Network and on my mac on my own network.
The outcome is the same.

There is a running bug regarding Excel exports.

This is not a problem with EXCEL as
1) it cites librarything.com as having the error.
2) all books are processed and I am in the download
3) Chrome identifies it:

This page isn’t working
www.librarything.com is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500

Alas Firefox and Safari.

THis is a REAL problem for me; as support at Tinycat cannot replicate it.

>3 RWVLibraries: Then you need to add to the bug I linked to, as it deals with EXACTLY what you are describing.

Agreed, this issue goes with that topic (which is about more than just Excel exports, despite the name).
Closing as duplicate. Thank you both and sorry for the trouble! This should be resolved now.
