I have been a member for a while BUT I haven't really dived in until now. A group of us created a challenge group.
For groups, there doesn't seem to be any archiving features or any sorting features at all. The admins in my group (me included) are more OCD for lack of a better term. Maybe some folders or some way to organize our challenges would be helpful. We have monthly, quarterly, yearly challenges plus we would like archive the old ones. I am sure the other groups would appreciate the feature as well. We aren't picky. Whatever you come up would be helpful ; )
The other suggestion is that we noticed there is an app but it seems to only be for adding books. I would suggest adding a way for us to view our groups on the app. Just an idea to throw out there.
Thanks for taking the time to review my ideas.

Many groups maintain wiki pages that can contain whatever information you want and be specifically designed for what your group wants. This seems to me to be a better way than some general feature that doesn't really suit anyone.
Talk posts remain available on LT indefinitely. That would seem to be a suitable archive.
Little if any work is being done on the apps, as the new LT pages are designed to work on mobile devices.

As an example of the wiki pages some groups maintain, here’s the main index for the Category Challenge group, which has been going for several years now:

The thought process of the groups is that everything is fair game, per the site creator. So old threads that are 15 years old can be resurrected. Requests have been made to allow us to close threads and not allow additional posts, but that's been denied.
The app has lots of requests for it, many that are pending site administration review.

I could see a few ways you could do this with the system as it is now:
Keep your single group. Use naming conventions to differentiate, and use the wiki in any way you like to sort links to all the threads in the group. You can also 'pin' a thread with all the links listed in any order you like.
For each year, create a new group. Older groups will become marked as 'dormant' with time, so that provides a way to sort it in your mind as finished/archived, even if there is no such actual feature on LT. You can use naming conventions (like 2025 CHALLENGE/JUNE CHALLENGE/SPRING CHALLENGE/Q2 CHALLENGE) to organize challenges in each group.
For each type of challenge, create a new group. This way, all your monthly challenges are together, all your quarterly challenges are together, and all your yearly challenges are together. Using naming conventions to keep everything in order (JUNE 2025 CHALLENGE/Q3 2026 CHALLENGE/2027 ANNUAL CHALLENGE). Older posts also become marked as 'dormant' with time.
