I plan to take part! This is the first weekend in what feels like forever that I don't have any plans - no one is visiting me and I'm not visiting anyone else.

>2 PawsforThought: same with me and it feels good!

>4 Carmenere: I've been waiting for this for weeks! I'm so excited about just staying home and doing not much at all (except hopefully read).
My reading plans are to finish It by Stephen King because it needs to go back to the library on Monday (90 pages left) and to read as much as possible of Vet in Harness as it's a TIOLI read.

I’ll be reading and sorting for the big move coming up SOON.
Close to finishing both Joe Country and Sinking the Sultana.

I am definitely in, especially after missing last week due to traveling. I have several TIOLI books I want to get read.
Thanks again for hosting, Silver!

I'm in, with no major activities for the first time in weeks. Currently reading Lord of Emperors by Guy Gavriel Kay, and The October Country by Ray Bradbury.

This is moving weekend so I won't be participating, but I will try to do a bit of reading every night. The grand day for the moving truck is Monday, but there is lots of packing still to be done.

Saturday night
Book:
Read some more about the Sultana disaster from
Wicked River: The Mississippi When It Last Ran Wild by Lee Sandlin
Other book activity:
Weeded nursery rhymes, ABC books, juvenile non-fiction. That completes the children’s books. Then l started on general non-fiction and have just 3 short bottom shelves to finish. (Sigh) l should get up off the sofa and do it right now… Then l will be done weeding my entire collection. I don’t know if l’ve quite reduced it by half but it was many bags and boxes. When l unpack at the other end, I’ll have to do a new inventory of my books.
Dinner: leftover Chinese takeout.
Other activity:
We took my nephew to the train station. He was in town for his 20th high school reunion.

Weekend wrap up
Books:
finished 2 and now half way through My Kind of Christmas by R Carr.
Other book activity:
Finished weeding my entire library.
My sister and niece got bags of books and I’ve filled Little Free Libraries near playgrounds with kids’ books. There remain several bags of books to take to used book stores. It will be interesting to discover how many are gone when l do a new inventory after the move. Hundreds for sure.
Other activity:
My sister and BIL were here helping yesterday afternoon. They loaded up my Norfolk Island pine and two other big plants to take to their house till we get there. New home is just 15 mins. from them.

Weekend summary:
Books read from: Lord of Emperors by Guy Gavriel Kay, The October Country by Ray Bradbury
Books finished: Lord of Emperors
Pages read: 300-ish
Non-reading activity: Very quiet weekend, with the World Series and various football games on (and yes, I squeeze in the reading with that). Sunday afternoon, I got to spend with my 13 year old grandson learning to play "Star Wars: Outer Rim" - a fairly complex board game we both found enjoyable.

>21 ChrisG1: I have not heard of Lord of Emperors. I will have to see if I can find a copy. I generally enjoy Kay's books.
As far as Star Wars Outer Rim goes, there are a ton of how to play videos on the game available on YouTube if you have questions. The game also has a wonderful expansion, Unfinished Business.
