I’m in! Because tomorrow is a public holiday I had a half day at work so my weekend has already begun. I don’t have a lot of other plans besides reading. We’ve (finally) had the first snow of the year, though it’s about go get rained away, so I’m in perfect reading mood.

Not quite sure what I’ll be reading, other that probably some of The Shining.

And l have a couple audio books waiting

I'm in - currently reading The Daughter's War by Christopher Buehlman (not touchstoned, as it's not in the LT database yet.)

Count me in, please! I'll be reading tonight and Sunday. Saturday is kind of iffy as I'm seeing a new holiday movie at a local theatre.

Friday update:

Books read from: 1 - The Canterbury Tales
Books finished: 0
Time reading: Less than an hour

Non-book activities: Putting ads online, going on a walk, making dinner, watching the season premiere of the best tv show, practicing French on Duolingo.

The Canterbury Tales is currently (20 pages in) a bit easier than I had initially thought. I’m reading the original Middle English version and it help to read it aloud, though there are some words I simply don’t get, but I don’t think it’s anything too important.

Saturday update:

Books read from: 2 - The Canterbury Tales and A Room of One’s Own
Books finished: 0
Time reading: An hour and a half-ish

Non-book activities: Went to the first Christmas market of the year, pedalled on the exercise bike, binged on The Haunting of Hill House (again).

We’re officially in winter now. We had the first snow of the year on Friday and while it started to rain away, it froze in the night and has stayed below since so now it’s frozen slush covered by a thin layer of snow that fell last night. I hate the frozen slush and ice, but it’s so nice to have a white layer on the ground - it makes such a difference light-wise.

Sunday evening

As predicted, read some but not a lot this weekend. 2 more days to get ready for the movers. Hopefully, l’ll be too busy packing on Election Day to stew over the results as they slowly trickle in. I voted early.

Book:
Halfway through The Life Impossible by Matt Haig.

Dinner: chicken & vegetables, and it’s probably my duty to finish some of the ice cream in the freezer since we have to empty it this week. 😄

To my U.S. friends - thank you for voting 🇺🇸
