Here's everything about the book I remember. The main character has a friend who is adopted. Later the mc finds out that he was also adopted, but unlike his friend, his parents didn't tell him until recently. Mc has an older sister. There's some sort of conspiracy or situation involving a bunch or orphans. It's found out that mc and his friend are two orphans involved. At one point, mc, parents, and older sister are at some office or something. I believe someone gets mc alone and says mc has to look at a list of orphans and memorize as many as possible before he gets caught. Mc gives the task to his sister for some reason and she is confused but does it without anyone knowing. When mc asks how many she memorized, she tells mc she didn't memorize any, instead, she used her phone to take pictures of the list which was way more effective. Because of that, they have most of the names of the orphans which was good. Unfortunately, that is all I remember about this book. I read it in 5th grade so it's probably a kids book for that age group.

>3 Alexaisme: You missed the one that says "Enter a descriptive subject title that includes genre and a few key words. Words like “Help,” “Find this book,” and “Search” are not helpful."

Well I only remembered two details, I didn't want to title it book with orphans or girl takes pictures of documents because that isn't descriptive either.

It would make it easier for people to find your request again if they find a book that seems to fit.

>5 Alexaisme: Those are more descriptive than "Book I cannot remember for the life of me." Many people don't even open threads without some sort of descriptive title and, as @Aquila pointed out, a descriptive title makes your thread easier to find.

The genre of this book is romantic I guess I don't remember anything particularly. The female lead is in love with the male lead who has a child with his ex lover. All I remember is the end of the story where the female lead is about to confess her feelings his ex lover showed up and that's the almost end according to my memory and this book has second part

I believe this is the book series "The Missing" by Margaret Peterson Haddix. The first book, the one you are talking about, is called "Found".
