I loved Crime and Punishment. I haven't seen many people posting it recently. A great read and very thought provoking! Good luck!

I really enjoyed it - my first Dostoevsky - led me to The Idiot, which I liked even more!

I love The Awakening as well! So good. Good choice of books!

Well, I don't know whether to recommend this or not since I loved The Idiot and Crime and Punishment, but hate (I'm not exaggerating) The Awakening. Still, just in case, have you read anything by Kazuo Ishiguro? Based on the book choices you've got up there that I've read, I'd strongly recommend his Remains of the Day...I think lol. Let me know if you try it, and good reading...

I though The Awakening was a little better than mediocre...quite short and nothing seemed to materialize correctly. I don't like the way she half-heartedly committed suicide in the end. It needed more time for development.
I read The Unconsoled by Ishiguro, which I did like. I will definitely put Remains of the Day on my list...thanks!

Did you like Snuff? I love Chuck Palahniuk and have this on my wishlist.

Snuff is incredible - if you like Chuck Palahniuk's style, this is the epitome...it's quite twisted and perverted and has the usual cast of characters that seem quite demented but in reality very everday. I loved it. Although, I felt odd reading about a pornstar's quest to be with 600 men while at work.

#24 - Jacob's Room (Virginia Woolf)
