Hi I am new to the LibraryThing. I am a first-time author. I created my profile page. I am now trying to figure out how to get reviews and recommendations? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

You generally don't. LT is a community of readers and a library/catalog site mainly and not a place where an author can come to solicit reviews directly.
This is a page explaining what authors can do on LT: https://www.librarything.com/about/authors
Anything outside of it (especially advertising your own books, posting recommendations for your own books and similar activities) is seriously frowned upon (plus will annoy pretty much every reader around here).
So if you really want reviews, your best option may be the Early Reviewer program. If you want to participate on the site and get some recommendations for you to read, catalog some books and let LT do its magic.
And welcome to LT! Hopefully you decide to stick around :)

Thanks for asking!
First, read "How Authors Can Use LibraryThing": https://www.librarything.com/about/authors Lots of helpful advice there.
I'd particularly call your attention to the Early Reviewers program: https://www.librarything.com/ner/howitworksofferer as well as the Hobnob with Authors group: https://www.librarything.com/ngroups/8391/Hobnob-with-Authors (one of the few places on LT where book promotion is allowed).
