I’m so interested by South Korea’s recent political turmoil. President Yoon’s attempted declaration of martial law brought the citizenry out in full force, and the police/military response seemed a pretense, and not effective.

There has been some shake up in the military, firing those who may have known about the declaration beforehand

Young people gathered in Berlin's central Potsdamer Square on Thursday and marched through the German capital to protest against the government's plans to reintroduce military service. While the police counted around 3,000 participants, organizers claimed there were 6,000 demonstrators in Berlin and 50,000 in more than 130 towns and cities across Germany. Parts of it are Sudan-specific, but for those who like watching video presentations I would recommend the section on active nonviolent resistance from around 26:42 to 48:00. John Prendergast's presentation on “Illegal Arms and Resource Flows into Sudan and How to Stop Them” from 48:50 to about 1:02:00 highlights another area of nonviolent resistance.
