Candle 9

Five sisters debuted in 1951,
In the first of five novels—such classic fun!
Then a new tale appeared in 2018,
A picture book depiction of their holiday routine.

41 tina1969 : #9 I googled what the clue is saying x

71 lilithcat : RE #9 - the sisters observe a holiday other than Christmas

111 atozgrl : I was having trouble with #9 and googling the text didn't work for me either, and I AM in the US. But rewording it and googling the intent of the text did lead me to the right series, and that information helped me find it on LT.

Ah! The clue references a sixth book.

I am embarrassed but I am struggling with this one. I was able to do most of the others raw and a few with the help of Google. This one however, ugh.

>4 SRB5729: I'm clueless too. Sisters debuting in 1951? Ah, that's the Andrews sisters it seems - nope.

I am struggling with this one too. I keep getting a non-fiction book.

143 AnnieMod : #9: You want the 2018 book, not the series

145 AnnieMod : So start the other way around. Find the series first - then find its latest book. Ignore the 2018 part of the clue (I did initially - I found the series, then found the book) and just look for a series that matches and started in this timeframe.

PS: I'm non-American so I had never even heard of the series before. Google helped. :)

149 SpaceStationMir : Appreciate all the Hanukkah references--ask me if you need help with #1 or #9!

168 AnnieMod : If you have the series, it is the last book in it.

169 BookConcierge : It's been a few days, so I'm not sure I remember accurately, but I think I googled Children's book series debut 1951. And once I had the series I could look up the book that was published in 2018 (and that is specific to a holiday in December that is NOT Christmas)

170 krazy4katz : To add to what everyone else is saying, I ended up googling this one and got it very quickly. Obviously with such a long time between the series and the 2018 book, the author is different.

171 crazy4reading : Thanks for those hints. I had the correct series just needed to look for the different holiday added to the series to find the actual book.

188 stringcat3 : Finally googled "1951 children's book five sisters" to get #9. Someone's hint that it's not the original author was helpful.
