SciFi Last living human adopted by alien race

I read this book between 2018-2021.

At the beginning of the book, the last living human being lives among a tripodal alien race on their planet. They have extended his life to the point he is so old he can't remember his given name (I can't remember the name of the character). I believe humans were killed off by a disease of its own making and the location of Earth is unknown.

Eventually another human (female) is found and the aliens want them to re-start the human race.

In the end, Earth is rediscovered and billions of people have been preserved in stasis.

That sounds like Relic by Alan Dean Foster, although I'm not very familiar with it. It was first published in 2018.

I actually hadn't remembered that Ruslan didn't remember his own name, but that does match, now that I've looked it up; he's aware that he used to have more than one name, but doesn't recall the details.

The book also matches up with the Myssari, the aliens with whom Ruslan lives at the beginning of the story, being tripodal.

The disease was known as the Aura Malignance.
