1. Jutlandia : krig, kald & kærlighed First book, the history of Jutlandia, a danish hospital-ship. It was in Korea from 1951-53. The media loved to follow, but today the question is "was it the best use of the money?" But a good book and a important part of the history.

Verdens vigtigste bog. Kristian Leth has written a book about the Bible. He calls the Bible the most important book in the world. Kristian Leth do not see him self as a christian, but he shows through the book that the way of thinking in the western world is influenced by the Bible and christianity. Now my wife will read the book, and then we can discuss.

Samtalestationen Egon Nielsen Some short stories from the autors childhood in a village nearby where I live. His mother was in charge of the telephone exchange, it was in their livingroom. A lot of people came to use the phone, different situations - seen through the childs eyes. Quite good book

Forliset og andre skrøner by Jørn Riel Jørn Riel wrote several short stories. They are called Skrøner in danish, I can not find the exact translation. They are funny, not true, but as he said: They could be. Some catchers of hunteres on the northeast coast of Greenland, they are very original and funny. This book is the last, I think - all the 5-7 men are leaving, the goverment has decieded to close down the buisness, no ship to deliver food and buy the skins from what they have hunted. Actually ouite special to read about Greenland these days where the new president in US talks about to take over.

Notater fra aftensangen by Jan Guillou A swedish author, has for 40-50 years produced a book pr year. I do have them all, almost. Well it is a crimenovel, but seems that he also use this occasion to write about his opinion on everything going on. He is not very well with the goverment in Swenden, so a lot of focus on that. And how the media has lost their critical view on the goverment, the police. The plot in the story is actually of less importance.

Glemt på en søndag by Valérie Perrin. The 3rd book read. The style is the same. Most of all that life is complex, but focus on the daily life, and show love to the people around you.

Jubel by Lars Saabye Christensen. I have read a lot of books by Lars Saabye. This is a one of his first. A young man gets a job in the summertime in a remote hotel in north of Norway, his job is to play the keyboard every evening. Very few guests and the mood is not good. The fact that it never gets dark in he north in the summertime is at theme, folks are not sleeping and the do not act normally. Quite okay book.

Min bogverden by Kerstin Ekman Ekman is a now quite old swedish author. This book is her reflections on around 20 books she has been reading during her life, books that made particular impression. It actually inspired me to read some of them

Græsset synger by Doris Lessing. One of the books Ekman wrote about, and it was on my bookshelf, but never read. Her first book, and quite intense and depressing. But very well written.
