Nonconformisto 2025 Root

My name is Will and I like the concept of reading some of the books that have been on my shelves for years. I never pass up an opportunity to add to my collection but I somehow feel wasteful ignoring some of my older volumes.

I'm new to this challenge, so in my first go around I'll be starting small:

  1. The Tomb and Other Tales by H.P. Lovecraft
  2. Tales and stories for Black folks edited by Toni Cade Bambara
  3. The Time Machine and The Man Who Could Work Miracles by H.G. Wells
  4. The Family Reader of American Masterpieces edited by Ralph L. Woods

Welcome Will. Glad to see a new 'face' with the ROOTers.

Welcome aboard! I find this group helpful for just the reason you've mentioned: I love buying books, and could easily go for a long time without reading any of the books I already own. Keeping a record here helps keep me focused on trying to make sure around a third of the books I read have been in the house for a while. Cheers!

Welcome! I've discovered many a treasure that had been sleeping on my shelves. I've become a convert to this group!

Wow, almost to the halfway point with some 10 months to get there. Excellent job.

>35 connie53: thanks for popping in, Connie. I might have one more Root book left this year. Lately, though, I've been reading a little philosophy. I hope you are doing well.

I'm doing okay for now. I have had some troubling times. But everything is settling down now. Thank you for asking.
