Battle Balls

I've got $50 on the spikey-balled metal monster, based on this cover illustration.

Wow. The two without armor, especially the damsel, are really at a disadvantage, guns or not. I guess they have plot armor; otherwise I'm with @EndofDiskOne on who's going to win.

@bam2001: Woman in the second one: Levitating Queen of the Blind Bots? The building in the background also looks Turkish. You'd think the Ottomans would have cleared those out.

None of these people have thought of the method Luke Skywalker used to take out that AT-AT.

The monster is good at preserving her modesty.



But she is perhaps alarmed at the spiky balls.

It's a virus-collecting robot, I reckon....

The girl was raised by robots, but wasn't nearly as metal as you'd think.

I'd be screaming too if there were so many metal spikes near my naked self, but I'd have my arms down in front of me and be watching them.

I wonder what the woman on cover #1 is saying to the well-armed guy (rifle and pistol). She seems to be restraining him; maybe he's not bright enough to figure out that projectile weapons aren't going to be much help against metal-spiky-mace-creature....
