The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a brief, witty and fantastical satire about aging. In 1860 he is born as an old man and begins aging backward. As he continues to grow younger, he goes to war, runs a business, falls in love, has children, goes to college and preparatory school, then as his mind begins to deteriorate, he attends kindergarten and eventually returns to the care of his nurse.

Many thanks for this and all your pictorial reviews. I’m sorely tempted with this one as I’m interested on several levels: I’m a fan of McKean’s work, short stories, Freya’s marbling and Aretè’s output - I’ve Frozen Hell and it’s stunning. I really need to be more selective this year as ‘24 was a little frenzied.
