In middle school, about 20 years ago, I read a book from a series. One of the books I'm SURE was "twilight" (but not Stephanie meyers). A young woman who's about to be proposed to by the leader of the group she is in ends up getting trapped in some kind of alternate dimension. Here, it's a monster of a building where the rooms change positions all the time. She meets a young man who's been trapped and has lost hope. Eventually they work together to escape and they fall in love. Regardless, she ends up going back to her life how it was before getting trapped. There's magic, and it could have been medieval, but definitely not modern. The cover I think was a girl standing in a balcony looking at the moon. Maybe I'm mixing up stories I hope not

Your description makes me think of Tanith Lee's Wolf Tower series. Claidi ends up engaged to the leader of a nomadic tribe at the end of the first book, but is kidnapped in the second book, Wolf star rise, and taken to a place where the rooms constantly move. She meets a young man and he falls in love with her, but she is still in love with her fiancee and they end up together again after Claidi and the other guy escape. The second book has the cover you describe, in the American publication.

You guys!! Thank you so much! It's been years, decades, and I was convinced this was titled twilight. I cannot wait to reread these and get hit with the nostalgia 🙏🏽🥹
