About a diverse group supposedly observing polar bear behavior. Their van breaks down on the ice. The polar bears start becoming more aggressive. The protagonist (climate scientist maybe?) must leave the van to escape the bears, but obviously is in more danger once she is exposed on the ice. Seems there is something 'nefarious' going on among the group, but I don't remember what.
I believe the book was published at least 10 years ago, probably more because I can't find it in my inventory, and I've been a member since 2009.
The book is NOT A Blizzard of Polar Bears, which seems to have a similar plot, but the protagonist is in a helicopter, not in a mobile observatory.
