I know some have complete collections, etc. and that's great -- what I'm going for in this thread is what EP books are "truly special" to you and you'd rather starve than have to sell them! I'll start off:

The Easton Press Astronaut's Library --
Countdown by Frank Borman, Schirra's Space by Walter M. Schirra,Jr., Lost Moon by James Lovell, Men From Earth by Buzz Aldrin, We Seven by the Mercury Astronauts, and Moon Shot by Alan Shepard and Deke Slayton.
Limited to 3000 sets, each book is signed by at least one astronaut. I would say "We Seven" and "Men from Earth" are the most popular and sought-after of the books. That said, all 6 books can be purchased for honestly reasonably "good" prices. On ebay the complete set ranges from $1600 - $4499, the latter being shrink wrapped and unopened. Anyway, prices aside, this is just a special set by special people and this will never be produced again. And of course, I'm someone that loves space exploration and science in general :)

I’ll list just a few of my favorites:
— “North American Indians” is a 2-volume DLE featuring text and 360 color engravings by George Catlin, spectacularly reproduced. It was limited to 400 copies.
— “Picturesque America” is an oversized 2-volume DLE containing more than 1,000 pages and several hundred full-page steel and wood engravings by various late 19th century artists. Its purpose was to illustrate nature as it was before the European settlers spoiled it. Limited to 400 copies.
— “Don Quixote,” signed by the illustrator J. L. Munoz, and incorporating the much acclaimed translation of Edith Grossman. Limited to 1,200.
— “The Story of Civilization” an 11-volume set by Will and Ariel Durant. I’m sure to get some pushback from the history buffs out there when I say that it might be the finest multi-volume history ever produced. Authoritative and yet a compelling read.
— “The Raven,” an 18-inch tall DLE. While the poem itself is widely available in oodles of editions, this one features all 27 of Gustave Dore’s illustrations in a humongous format. Limited to 1,200 copies.

I would never consider selling my signed Band of Brothers or any of the other books signed by Stephen Ambrose. Same for my signed Shelby Foote Civil War Narrative and Shiloh. Tom

The 14 'Wyeth Classics' set of books. I enjoy classic adventure, and this set is quite nice.

I'm not sure these five would win out over the starvation option, but...
Three are reproductions of earlier famous editions:
• Edmund Spenser, The Faerie Queene, 3 vols. (2008)— a facsimile of the 1897 George Allen arts & crafts edition, illustrated gorgeously by Walter Crane, with multiple full-page illustrations and quarter page decorations
• Geoffrey Chaucer, The Canterbury Tales, 3 vols. (2011)—limited to 300 copies, a facsimile of the 1913 Medici Society edition, with Russell Flint’s ‘earthy’ illustrations on tipped-in plates, bound in deep red leather with marbled endpapers
• John Milton, Paradise Lost, 2 vols. (2014)—limited to 800 copies, a facsimile of Septimus Prowett 1827 edition, with ‘Romantic sublime’ mezzotint illustrations by John Martin, in brown leather decorated with gold foil, with marbled endpapers
And two are original productions:
• Franz Kafka, The Metamorphosis (2014)—limited to 800 copies, translated by Susan Bernofsky, printed on mould-made laid paper with illustrated endpapers, with Brian Despain’s inspired video-game-like illustrations on tipped in color plates
• Beowulf (2017)—limited to 1200 copies, translated by Frederick Rebsamen, decorative endpapers, illustrated by Yoann Lossel’s avant-garde fantasy art on tipped in color plates
