Where are you in fantasyland? February 2025

I'm in North Carolina in the 1770s with Claire, Jamie and everyone in The Fiery Cross.

I'm on the last little bit of Rhythm of War (just past the Sanderlanche). I think I'm going to bite the bullet and read Wind and Truth despite the increasing amount of pacing issues/bloat and lukewarm reviews of WaT. There's just enough there to make me finish this arc!

February is likely going to be polishing off of the rest of what I'm likely to read in John Norman's Gor series. We'll see if I have time to either start another series or not.

I just finished a visit to a small, post-apocalyptic island in The Last Murder at the End of the World. I had avoided trailers and information about the recent tv series "A Murder at the End of the World" because I thought it was based on this book and didn't want to be spoiled... but now I am disappointed to learn that they are completely unrelated. :P The trailer for the tv series looks much less cool.

Next up, starting a reread of Beldan's Fire to finish out the Queen's Quarter Knot trilogy.

I'm in the Alps learning about Emily Wilde's Map of the Otherlands.

I'm back in Oath in Ruthless Vows and exploring the fae worlds in A Rivalry of Hearts.

I'm on Whitby Island with Gobbelino London and a Menace of Mermaids.

I'm back in the Scholomance in The Last Graduate by Naomi Novik, waiting to see if El & friends manage to graduate by escaping being eaten by hundreds of monsters. MY high school looks so much better now! :-)

I'm in the city of Kithamar during the Age of Ash.

I'm in New Salem with the Once and Future Witches.

Back to Adrilankha in Lyorn. It is off to a funny start.

Driving around western Massachusetts with the reality TV show Haunt sweet home.

In the Celes Basin, navigating Between Dragons and their Wrath - such a great book!!

I am in Siberia, with The cautious travelers guide to the wasteland.

I'm in Fionavar, doing a re-read till I find a better bedtime book.

I'm roaming the world of Moonbound, wandering the fantastical city of Rath Varia. It's a neat story so far, haven't read too many "science-fantasy" novels in my time, I'm enjoying myself greatly!

I've just left Dobrenica (a mythical country set in our world) where I had to deal with Blood Spirits.
