That is pretty interesting and I was able to follow until they said they found success in "...being strategically random..." which sounds like it needs it's own article to explain. I think the bookshelves on my wall are "the 1981 solution" and the leaning stacks of randomness by my bed are more the "the 2022 solution". When I finished I didn't see the deconstructing books article you mentioned, but I did click on the BOOKS category and wow that was fun! I never thought to look for book stuff on WIRED, but I'll have to keep up now. They have some interesting pieces.
