hard to sign in-took longer than usual

I had difficulty signing in today and opening www.librarything.com on my computer- any issues today?

I just got asked to prove I was human. I think there’s a bot attack going on.

Me too. Had to be verified before LT came up.

I was getting random host not reachable errors for a bit and now got the same as >2 haydninvienna: as well. Definitely something is going on.

Yes, site veeery slow to load right now, with frequent "502: Bad Gateway" errors from Cloudflare (who I assume hosts the site?)

>2 haydninvienna: That's exactly it. We maneuvered and things are looking better as of later last night. We turned off some of the normal processing like exports to mitigate, but those are coming back up this morning I believe! Thanks for your patience.

Site is still VERY slow this morning. Several other users have noted it on the threads.

Yeah, we're battling bots still. Sorry for the trouble. We made a change a few minutes ago that should help logged-in speeds. (Fingers crossed.)
