HTML or JavaScript customization (s.o.s. I don't know what I'm doing)

Hello! I am not sure if this has been asked yet, or if this is the right place to ask it. I am hoping to customize my TinyCat library to look a little bit more like this sample library - https://www.librarycat.org/lib/TheHeikster
I would like to be able to organize the bit at the bottom like they have, but organized by certain tags I've made. Is it possible to randomly generate 6-10 books with specific tags (in the same way that they've done by author)? And I am also really hoping it's possible to include a "browse full collection" option right below the search bar (where they have "quick links"). My collection is really random, because it's all antique books, so it would be very useful to have a link just to skim through everything.
I don't know html at all. I would love to learn - and I would love any help! Is it possible to add these features to my TinyCat library? If so, does anyone have any good resources to help me figure this out? Or even a sample script?
Thank you!

>1 MinkeH: So glad you're customizing your Home page! Happy to help.
Depending on how you've organized your records in LibraryThing, you may be able to create a link to browse all items in your library. In my TinyCat, for example, I have a link to the search for "Collections: Your Library" since all my TinyCat items are under my Your Library collection. So you could do something similar!
You can also create links to searches for specific tags! That's one of the easiest ways to simulate browsing on the homepage.
In the sample TinyCat, those books aren't randomly generated but are specific manually-input images with links! If there are specific books you'd like to highlight in a similar way, I can definitely help you with some html to make that happen - but it sounds like what would work best would be a link to that tag search. You could input a few linked cover images like the sample library under each tag, but that may be a lot of work for something that isn't quite what you were asking for. You could also input an image under each tag that doesn't change or link, but is a sample of what can be found within that tag (for example, a screenshot of some relevant covers from that tag in LibraryThing).
I hope this helps and please let me know if you need anything else!

Hi! My solution for browsing the full collection is to add a new tag (for example, “ALL”) to every book. You can do this easily with Power Edit — just select all books and add the tag. Then, you can create a link to the search results for that tag to let users browse your entire collection.
