Just read this --
Join us tomorrow for a genre-spanning conversation between artist Ala Ebtekar and celebrated science-fiction novelist Kim Stanley Robinson.
The talk will celebrate Ebtekar's King Artist Residency at the Press and draw inspiration from Arion's upcoming edition of Isaac Asimov's Nightfall, for which he is developing cyanotype prints on the roofs of Fort Mason during Thursday night's lunar eclipse.

The cover is reminiscent of glass plates, which I think is lovely. Now the question, how much is this going to cost? Well, since it's an AP publication, I'm going to guess somewhere between $1500-3000 for the standard, and the stars only know what the inevitable "Deluxe" will cost!

>1 astropi: Looks great to me, interesting how he's doing it and seems like a good match for the book. Total cost of three books for the year will be $4800 based on subscription cost so average would be $1600 each, though I wonder if Gilgamesh will be above that.
One interesting thing I just noticed is the title on the lighter page says "Nightfall and other stories". I guess that answers the question of whether this would be the short story or the expanded novel - looks like it will be the collection of Nightfall and 20 other short stories published in 1969.

Nightfall is up on the Arion store now, looks like it's only 2 stories: Nightfall and The Last Question. Only 1 picture up that doesn't show you much.
$1,575 seems a bit steep for a 112 page book ($1,100 with subscription). That's the same price as Gilgamesh and Mrs. Dalloway, which are both very nice editions and longer (twice the pages in Mrs. Dalloway, and a much larger page size with Gilgamesh). As a subscriber this year, I hope there are other elements that help justify the price at least somewhat. It is printed on Zerkall mould-made which I think is a plus. The slip case sounds interesting as well.

Interestingly Gilgamesh and Mrs. Dalloway both show as sold out along with the 2025 subscription... seems like the first time that's happened in quite some time.

Nightfall link
As I mentioned only 1 not too helpful picture, but there's a link to the prospectus that has more details and some illustrations.

>6 blinks112: Agreed, that's a pretty horrible picture if you want to sell a $1500 book. Also, I'll add that Arion's website in general is not user friendly.
